Torpedo boat Falke.

The first new torpedo boats built in Germany after the World War were initially classified as destroyers according to the regulations of the Treaty of Versailles that allowed the Reichsmarine to have twelve ships of this type with a displacement not exceeding 800 tons. The six torpedo boats of the 1923 type, known as the Raubvogel class, were named after birds of prey, the first being the Möwe which was slightly smaller than the rest.

TECHNICAL DATA

Displacement: standard 924 mt (Möwe 798 mt), full load 1,290 mt (Möwe 1,213 mt).

Dimensions: Waterline length 85.7 m (Möwe 84.7 m), overall length 87.7 m (Möwe 87 mt), beam 8.43 m, maximum draft 3.65 m, depth 5.1 m.

Armament:
  •  3 x 10.5cm/L45
  •  2 x 2cm/L65
  •  6 x 50cm torpedo tubes in two triple mounts (changed to 53.3cm in 1931).
  •  Up to 30 mines.

Propulsion plant: 3 Marine boilers, 2 turbines, 23,000 hp.

Speed: 33 knots (Möwe 32 knots).

Endurance: 2,000 nm at 20 knots, 3,600 nm at 17 knots.

Fuel capacity: 340 mt.

Crew: 120.
